Description
The Air Force Test Center at Eglin AFB is seeking a qualified small business to remove existing intercom systems and install new four‑position onboard intercom systems on a fleet of twelve fire‑apparatus vehicles (10 engines, 1 ladder, 1 rescue). Work includes procurement of the intercom hardware, wiring, integration with existing Motorola APX 6500 radios, and verification that the driver headset provides wireless operation up to 500 feet. The contract will be firm‑fixed‑price, awarded on a lowest‑priced‑technically‑acceptable basis, and must be completed within 90 days of award. All work is performed onsite at the fire station on Eglin AFB, during standard government business hours.
• Remove legacy intercom equipment and turn it over for disposal.
• Install new four‑position intercom systems, ensuring weather‑sealed, automotive‑grade installation meeting NFPA 1901 standards.
• Provide a wireless driver headset (500‑ft range) and integrate the crew‑chief headset with the existing Motorola APX 6500 mobile radio.
• Perform functional testing with Government representatives and obtain final acceptance.
• Deliver a firm‑fixed‑price quote covering all labor, materials, shipping, and cleanup.
