Background Investigations

The City of Sandy is seeking proposals for background investigations on volunteer youth athletic coaches. The selected vendor will be required to process between 600-800 applications annually, with a term of one year starting in March 2026 and the option to extend for three additional 12-month periods. The vendor must provide criminal history background checks, including validation of volunteer identity and address, Utah and national sex offender registry search, state and/or county criminal record check, full state and/or county search, and national criminal data base search. The vendor must also provide secure online application processing capabilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The vendor must be PBSA certified and have direct integration with the State of Utah Criminal Database. • The vendor must provide timely results, with an average turnaround time of 2 business days or less. • The vendor must provide complimentary consultation to clarify screening results and provide technical assistance and guidance. • The vendor must have experience and a good performance record on similar projects. • The vendor must provide a secure online processing capability for applications.
