Multi-Family Appraisal Services

The Department of Housing & Community Development is seeking bids for multi-family appraisal services. The selected contractor will provide narrative appraisal reports for commercial properties, with a primary focus on multifamily rental housing. The contractor must have experience preparing appraisal reports in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and be a licensed certified general real estate appraiser in Maryland. The contract will be for a three-year base period with no option periods. The contractor will be required to provide appraisal reports, develop an "as financed" estimate of value, and certify the appraisal accuracy and compliance with USPAP. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must have experience preparing no fewer than three appraisal reports for multifamily rental projects financed by state housing finance agencies or other federally funded or insured multifamily rental housing programs within the past five years. • The contractor must be a licensed certified general real estate appraiser in Maryland. • The contractor will be required to provide appraisal reports, develop an "as financed" estimate of value, and certify the appraisal accuracy and compliance with USPAP. • The contract will be for a three-year base period with no option periods.
