The Chittenden Solid Waste District is seeking proposals for the operation of its new Materials Recycling Facility. The facility is scheduled to open in early 2027 and will process up to 70,000 tons of materials annually. The selected operator will be responsible for the daily operations of the facility, including receiving and processing materials, managing staff, and maintaining equipment. The operator will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of the processed materials and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The contract will be for a period of 10 years, with the option for renewal.
