Description
GoTriangle issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB 1012‑27‑072) to obtain comprehensive towing and recovery services for its transit fleet across the Research Triangle region. The contract covers heavy‑duty, medium‑ and light‑duty towing, vehicle recovery (including EV bus recovery), accident stabilization, winching, and flat‑bed transport, with a 24 / 7 emergency response requirement. Bids are submitted per‑mile for six vehicle categories, and the award was announced as intent to award East Coast Towing. The base term is two years with two optional one‑year extensions, for a possible three‑year total.
• Scope includes towing of 40‑ft, 35‑ft, battery‑electric buses, paratransit vehicles, and light‑duty support vehicles.
• Service must be provided region‑wide, with response “as quickly as practical” and detailed documentation for each tow.
• Pricing is submitted on a per‑mile basis; mileage is billed only for the actual tow distance (per Addendum 1).
