Description
This contract awards the City of Palm Springs the comprehensive operation and management of public parking facilities at Palm Springs International Airport. The incumbent, ABM Aviation, Inc., will provide full‑time staffing, shuttle‑bus services, revenue‑control system (PARCS) operation, customer‑service support, and seasonal staffing during peak travel periods. The agreement is a fixed‑fee arrangement with additional unit‑price rates for seasonal staff and overflow shuttle operations, and it includes a 5 % retainage with a $500 per day liquidated‑damage clause for schedule overruns. The contract term runs from June 2020 through February 2027, with two optional one‑year extensions.
• Operates both the Public Parking Lot (≈ 936 spaces) and the Overflow Lot (≈ 850 spaces) 24/7.
• Provides shuttle‑bus service (minimum one 14‑passenger ADA‑compliant bus year‑round, second bus during peak overflow).
• Handles daily and monthly revenue reporting, PARCS maintenance, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
