ADA Compliant Passenger Elevator - Architectural & Engineering Services

The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) is seeking proposals from certified engineers and architects for the design and cost estimation of an ADA-compliant passenger elevator at their Cotton Mill facility. The elevator must be strategically located for convenient access to common areas and the exterior. The scope includes site selection, machine type, machine room, hoist way design, engineering drawings, and cost estimates for A/E services and construction. The project aims to provide seamless, safe, and efficient access to all floors of the facility, while minimizing disruptions to existing commercial tenants. Some key aspects of the project include: • Minimizing disruptions to ongoing business operations • Optimizing accessibility and ensuring ADA compliance • Supporting business growth and facilitating ease of movement for employees, clients, and visitors • Conducting a thorough analysis of applicable building codes, regulations, and safety requirements • Evaluating the existing conditions of the repurposed mill building to determine the most structurally sound and cost-effective approach for the elevator installation
