The Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office is seeking qualified firms to provide semi‑annual cleaning and maintenance of kitchen exhaust hood systems at two VA medical‑center campuses (Montrose, NY and Castle Point, NY). The work includes cleaning of hoods, filters (in‑place cleaning only), ductwork, and the installation of grease‑tight access panels required for ongoing maintenance. All services must comply with NFPA 96, applicable fire and building codes, and VA safety requirements, and must be performed within a stipulated daytime window (3 PM‑10 PM). The contract is a firm‑fixed‑price RFQ with a base year and up to four optional one‑year extensions. • Semi‑annual cleaning of exhaust hoods, filters, and ductwork at multiple kitchen locations (including Building 15H and Building 13). • One‑time installation of 9 × 20″ × 20″ access panels at Castle Point and 4 × 12″ × 12″ panels at Montrose, fabricated to NFPA 96 specifications. • Required deliverables after each visit: service stickers, written service tickets, electronic reports with photos, and certification of NFPA 96 compliance. • Contractor must provide at least three certified technicians, use USDA‑approved alkaline cleaning solutions, obtain hot‑work permits, and manage grease waste disposal at own expense.
