OUTFITTER SERVICES

Knox County is seeking a contractor to provide outfitter services, including instructional, rental, guide, retail, food, and beverage services, for a period of 10 years with a possible extension of 10 years. The contractor will lease and operate a 2,000 square foot building at The Cove at Concord Park. The services are anticipated to include instruction and guide services in canoe, kayak, climbing, hiking, bicycling, and camping, as well as rental of equipment and retail sales. The contractor will be required to provide daily maintenance to the leased space and pay for any desired improvements. The contractor must also provide proof of financial and business capability, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Some key points to consider are: • The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment and supplies. • The contractor will be required to operate the services on a regular and advertised schedule. • The contractor will be required to provide a manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facility. • The contractor will be required to provide conceptual plans for improvements or additions to the building. • The contractor will be required to provide proof of insurance and comply with all applicable insurance requirements.
