Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to provide Helicopter Field Maintenance Training for its inspectors on various aircraft, including the Bell 412, Bell 429, Bell 206B, and Bell 407. The training should be provided in accordance with the Air Transport Association (ATA) 104 specifications and should include a minimum of 80 hours of training per course. The contractor should have experience in providing similar training and should be able to demonstrate their capabilities and approach to accomplishing this work. The FAA is looking for a firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, and the contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary materials and equipment for the training. Some key points to consider are: • The contractor must provide instructor-led training in a brick-and-mortar facility located in the United States. • The contractor must have experience in providing training on the specific aircraft listed. • The contractor must be able to provide a minimum of 80 hours of training per course. • The contractor must be able to demonstrate their capabilities and approach to accomplishing this work. • The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this contract is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the information provided, it can be estimated that the contract value will depend on the number of students trained and the cost per student. Assuming an average cost per student of $10,000 to $20,000, and considering that the FAA has a large number of inspectors who may require this training, the total contract value could be in the range of $500,000 to $5 million per year, depending on the number of students trained. The contract is expected to be a firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, which means that the contractor will be paid a fixed price for each student trained, and the total contract value will depend on the number of students trained over the life of the contract.
