Description
The City of Philadelphia Water Department is seeking qualified contractors to replace and relay a segment of water mains along Adams Avenue, from E. Wingohoching Street to a point 250 ft north of Unity Street. The work includes full excavation, removal of existing pipe, installation of new ductile‑iron and copper service lines, valve and hydrant installation, concrete paving, traffic control, and related site restoration. This is an invitation‑only, closed‑bid solicitation with a $4‑5 million estimated contract value.
• Replace existing water mains and install new 3‑, 4‑, 6‑, 8‑, 12‑, and 20‑inch ductile‑iron pipe sections.
• Provide associated valves, fire‑hydrant removal/installation, water‑service connections, and concrete curb/footway work.
• Required pre‑qualification questionnaire (due Oct 22 2026) and $500 bid‑processing fee; original bid bond must be post‑marked by the bid‑opening date.
