Portable Restrooms Rental

The City of Des Moines is soliciting sealed bids from qualified companies for the procurement of portable restroom rental services. The selected contractor will be responsible for furnishing, servicing, cleaning, maintenance, repair, moving, and removing of portable restrooms from various locations throughout the City of Des Moines. The contract term will be for 12 months, with the option to extend for an additional 5 years. The City estimates that approximately 65 units will be required, with 35 ADA compliant units and 30 standard units. The contractor will be responsible for providing hand sanitizer dispensers and cleaning logs for each unit. • The contractor must have a commercial septic tank cleaners license issued by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The contractor must provide a detailed schedule of portable unit placements and review specific site location details. • The contractor must provide emergency cleaning services and have a phone number that can be reached on evenings and weekends. • The contractor must provide a $25 fee per unit serviced for emergency cleaning requests.
