The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a small‑business firm to provide comprehensive grounds maintenance, snow and ice removal, and storm‑drain cleaning services for the VA Connecticut Healthcare System’s West Haven Medical Center. The contract is firm‑fixed‑price with a base year (Nov 30 2026 – Nov 29 2027) and four optional one‑year extensions. Services include mowing ~30 acres, bi‑annual storm‑drain cleaning, weekly leaf removal, 24/7 snow/ice response within one hour of a trigger, parking‑garage snow removal and de‑icing, and related reporting and safety requirements. The contractor must maintain a field‑service representative within 200 mi, supply all equipment and materials, and comply with Service Contract Act wage determinations and extensive security clauses.
