BLOUNT ISLAND MARINE TERMINAL HANJUNG CRANE #8841 REFURBISHMENT

The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) is soliciting bids to fully refurbish the HanJung crane #8841 located at the Blount Island Marine Terminal. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to execute a comprehensive refurbishment that includes crane roll‑back, trolley‑rail and festoon system replacement, structural repairs, corrosion removal and painting, machinery house repairs, installation of self‑closing gates and grounding hardware, and branding. The scope also contains three optional items (boom sheave replacement, cylinder rebuild, trolley wheel replacement) that may be added at the owner’s discretion. The contract will run for 90 calendar days after the Notice‑to‑Proceed, with strict liquidated‑damage penalties for overruns, a five‑year warranty, and a requirement that at least 5 % of the contract value be awarded to Small & Emerging Business (SEB) firms.
