RFP PROFESSIONAL OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE TO EXPLORE PUBLIC/PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP

The City of Birmingham, Michigan is seeking a professional owner's representative to explore public/private partnership opportunities. The representative will serve as an extension of the City to identify and evaluate private entity interests in using public land that leverages private-sector expertise, resources, and capital while still pursuing public goals that are advantageous to the City and its residents. The scope of work includes project management, public/private project evaluation, and private partner selection. The representative will be paid an hourly set fee for every proposed private/public partnership opportunity assigned to it by the City. Key aspects of the job include: • Developing and advancing potential public/private partnership opportunities • Evaluating the viability of proposed projects • Assisting the City in selecting a private entity for a private/public partnership • Providing analysis and evaluation reports to the City • Maintaining transparency in all communications with private parties • Building internal City capacity by sharing knowledge, templates, and best practices
