Description
The Indian Health Service (IHS) is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive manufacturer-authorized service and maintenance support for Cepheid GeneXpert analyzers located at four Service Units in the Portland Area. The contract will have a base period of one year and four option years. The contractor will be required to provide routine and on-call maintenance, repair, inspection, and parts replacement services for the analyzers. The contract is expected to be awarded in August 2026.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing 24x7 technical phone support for laboratory and biomedical/clinical engineering staff
• Performing on-site corrective maintenance Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (excluding federal holidays)
• Performing annual preventive maintenance by a certified field service engineer
• Providing all required parts, labor, travel, and replacement components necessary to maintain system functionality (excluding consumables unless otherwise specified)
• Providing software updates, firmware updates, security patches, and manufacturer-required system upgrades
• Providing remote diagnostics and LIS support, as applicable
• Maintaining a minimum 98% system uptime guarantee
