Cube Construction Services LLC is soliciting proposals for the Queensborough Community College- RFK Hall Gym- Locker & Shower Room Renovation & Associated Asbestos Abatement project, located at 221-5 56th Ave, Bayside, NY 11364. Kennedy Hall, Queensborough Community College. The scope of work includes substantial layout upgrades on the cellar floor, along with minor renovations on themezzanine and main floors to improve aesthetics, enhance ADA accessibility, increase plumbing fixture counts, incorporate gender-neutral/family restrooms, and improve overall circulation. All areas included within the scope of work will receive MEP and fire alarm (FA) upgrades, which are being filed under separate applications. All other areas of the building not identified within the scope of work will remain existing and unchanged. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Abatement Perform asbestos & ACM abatement as indicated in the documents. Demolition: Selective interior demolition of partitions, CMU, doors, ceilings, finishes, millwork, toilet partitions, and the rolling shutter. Remove existing lockers, abandoned conduit, and abandoned piping. Masonry Perform CMU partition work, infill at removed openings, and patching of existing CMU walls. Install lintels at new openings in masonry walls. Metals Furnish and install cold-formed metal framing and miscellaneous metal fabrications. Provide lintels, overhead supports for toilet and shower partitions, and fixture and equipment supports. Furnish and install powder-coated metal column wraps in Corridor. Millwork Furnish and install fire-retardant blocking for all wall-hung fixtures, accessories, and equipment. Furnish and install plastic laminate casework, counters, and corridor niche millwork. Furnish and install Corian solid-surface countertops. Waterproofing Furnish and install fluid-applied and sheet waterproofing at all shower and wet-area floors and walls. Openings Furnish and install Hollow Metal doors and frames as required. Furnish and install Door hardware. Furnish and install access doors. Furnish and install glazing and mirrors. Furnish and install upward coiling security grille. Drywall & Ceilings Provide and install metal stud framing, gypsum board partitions, shaft walls & GWB Ceilings & soffits. Provide and install acoustical ceiling systems, including Ceramaguard high-humidity tile and grid. Specialties Furnish and install toilet, shower, and changing room partitions and urinal screens. Furnish and install toilet and bath accessories. Furnish and install interior signage systems. Furnish and install corner guards, fire extinguisher cabinets, fire extinguishers, and roller shades. Controls / BAS Furnish and install DDC controls for all terminal units, dampers, and radiation valves. Integrate all new controls with the existing campus BAS, including programming and graphics. Fire Protection Demolish and relocate existing sprinkler piping and heads in renovated areas. Furnish and install a new floor control valve assembly off the existing standpipe, and new sprinkler heads. Plumbing Demolish existing plumbing systems, fixtures, and piping as indicated. Install complete domestic water, sanitary, waste, and vent systems, including underslab piping. Provide all piping, valves, hangers, supports, insulation. Furnish and install all plumbing fixtures, carriers, floor drains, linear shower drains, and trap primers. HVAC Demolish existing ductwork and air terminals in the areas of construction. Furnish and install supply, exhaust, and return ductwork, diffusers, grilles, and accessories. Furnish and install hot-water reheat piping, convectors, and finned-tube radiation. Clean existing duct systems and provide all insulation. Electrical Demolish existing equipment, devices, etc as per contract documents. Install new electrical receptacles, electrical installation of HVAC units, etc. Install new luminaires, lighting switches, lighting control devices, etc. Fire Alarm Remove and relocate existing fire alarm devices in renovated areas. Furnish and install new addressable devices, notification appliances, and damper and fan control modules on the existing Notifier system. Provide programming, filing, and FDNY acceptance testing. Low Voltage / IT Furnish and install Cat 6A cabling, data outlets and other work as per contract documents.
