MWBE & SDVOB Opportunities - Baruch College South Campus Boilers and Asbestos Abatement (PLA/Union)

Location: Baruch College, 137 East 22nd Street, New York, NY 10010
Project Description: Replacement of the steam heating plant in the cellar boiler room of Baruch College’s South Campus building, with associated asbestos abatement. Work includes asbestos, lead and hazardous waste abatement and disposal; selective demolition; new fire-tube boilers, breeching and stack, feedwater equipment, condensate pumps, steam and condensate piping, heat exchangers and electric domestic water heaters; structural steel and metal fabrications; concrete, crack injection grouting and cellar wall waterproofing; roof repairs for mechanical equipment; fireproofing and firestopping; hollow metal doors, hardware, fire-rated glazing and louvers; drywall, ceilings, equipment room flooring and painting; HVAC, DDC controls, balancing and commissioning; plumbing; electrical distribution and lighting; sprinkler and fire alarm work.
Project Labor Agreement: The successful low bidder, as condition of being awarded this Contract, will be required to execute the PLA. All subcontractors of every tier will be required to agree to be bound by the PLA.
MWBE / SDVOB Participation Goals: 18% Minority Business Enterprise, 12% Women’s Business Enterprise, 6% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business; 45% minority and women workforce participation.
