Downtown Mall Pool Maintenance

The City of Pomona is seeking a qualified vendor to perform routine and as‑needed maintenance on four public‑use swimming pools located in the Downtown Pomona Mall area. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder and may run for an initial three‑year term with up to two one‑year CPI‑adjusted extensions, for a maximum of five years of service. Bids must be submitted electronically via the PlanetBids portal; all bidders must be listed on the City’s Prospective Bidders List and possess the required licenses, insurance, and prevailing‑wage registrations. • Weekly pool cleaning tasks include filter cleaning, brushing, water replacement, pump lubrication, and chemical balance checks. • Bi‑weekly duties add debris removal, surface vacuuming, grout cleaning, and detailed equipment inspections. • Additional “as‑needed” service for full pool drain and refill is also required. • Vendor must provide monthly invoices, maintain a schedule approved by the Public Works Director, and promptly report any abnormal conditions or repairs. • Compliance with City policies on seal/logo usage, anti‑collusion statements, and required certifications is mandatory.
