Description

The City of Lebanon is seeking proposals for the installation and operation of electric vehicle charging stations. The city aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2035 and 100% by 2050. The project involves installing public EV charging stations at strategically selected locations to service both residents and visitors, and to support the local economy. The city is looking for a partner to provide a turnkey solution for the deployment of EV charging stations, including site selection, system design, installation, operation, and maintenance. The selected vendor will be required to provide a five-year contract term, with an option to extend or renegotiate beyond that. The city prefers a pricing structure that is less than the equivalent cost to fuel a gasoline vehicle and no more than 20% higher than the typical market EV charging prices in the area. • The city is looking for a vendor that can provide a comprehensive solution, including site selection, system design, installation, operation, and maintenance. • The vendor should have experience in installing and operating EV charging stations, and should be able to provide a turnkey solution. • The city is looking for a vendor that can provide a pricing structure that is competitive and fair. • The vendor should be able to provide a five-year contract term, with an option to extend or renegotiate beyond that. • The city prefers a vendor that can provide a comprehensive report on the usage and performance of the EV charging stations.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the cost of installing and operating the electric vehicle charging stations. The city has applied for federal funding for EVCS development and has been awarded $5 million for EVCS installations. The city may also use TIF District funds to finance the project. The cost of installing a single EV charging station can range from $2,000 to $10,000, depending on the type and complexity of the station. Assuming an average cost of $5,000 per station, the total cost of the project could be around $100,000 to $500,000, depending on the number of stations installed. The city may also generate revenue from the operation of the charging stations, which could range from $10,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on the usage and pricing of the stations. Therefore, the estimated budget range for this project could be between $100,000 and $500,000.
