Fairmont CDBG-I RFQ Engineering Services

The Town of Fairmont is seeking professional engineering services to assist with the Brown Street Pump Station Rehabilitation project, which includes rehabilitation of the existing pump station and repair/replacement of the associated mechanical bar screen. The selected firm will be responsible for developing a final engineering report, engineering design and bid package services, and construction inspection services. The project is funded by a Community Development Block Grant – Infrastructure (CDBG-I) award in the amount of $3,000,000.00. The scope of work includes preparing and approving the engineering report, developing the final design and construction bid package, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and conducting construction inspection services. • The project includes rehabilitation of the existing concrete structures and piping used in the pump station • Replacement of the existing pumps, existing pump controls, and electrical controls • Replacement of the existing telemetry with new SCADA equipment • Replacement of the existing, failed bar screen with a new unit within the existing concrete structure • The project will be completed on the Brown Street Pump Station site located at 101 Brown Street, Fairmont, NC • The selected firm will be paid with CDBG funds, and payment terms will be negotiated separately for the engineering report and engineering design/bid package and inspection services.
