Direct Connect GH2 Tanks

NASA Langley Research Center (LARC) requires six high‑pressure gaseous hydrogen (GH2) storage vessels to replace aging tube‑trailers and support upcoming scramjet testing. The tanks must be fabricated from seamless SA‑372 Grade J, Class 70 stainless steel, comply with ASME Section VIII, operate at a maximum pressure of 2,800 psi (MAWP 2,520 psi), and function within –20 °F to 200 °F. Each vessel will be integrated into a custom bi‑directional I‑beam framing system that allows vertical stacking of up to four tanks, includes lifting fixtures, and ensures safe transport from the manufacturer to LARC.
