RFP - INDEPENDENT AUDIT SERVICES

The Burke County Board of Commissioners is seeking a qualified CPA firm to provide annual independent audit services for fiscal years ending September 30, 2026 through September 30, 2030. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting annual financial statement audits, Single Audits, federal compliance testing, and other related services. The firm must have a Georgia CPA license, governmental audit experience, Single Audit experience, independence, professional liability insurance, and current peer review. The proposal should include firm information, governmental references, engagement team information, peer review report, audit approach, timeline, and fixed fee proposal. Some key points to consider: • The contract term is five years • The firm must comply with all federal, state, and local requirements • Audit workpapers shall be retained for at least five years • The firm must have experience with governmental audits and Single Audits • The proposal should include a fixed fee proposal for each fiscal year
