Fully Insured LSU First Retiree Medicare Advantage Plan

The Louisiana State University (LSU) System is seeking bids from qualified insurance carriers to provide high-quality, cost-effective Medicare coverage solutions for Medicare-eligible retirees and Medicare-eligible dependents. The selected supplier will provide a fully insured Medicare Advantage plan certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The plan should have a national passive PPO network available in all 50 states and U.S. territories, with no restrictions on members accessing Medicare-participating providers nationwide. The supplier must have at least 5 years of experience providing Medicare Advantage plans with a group size of 3,000 or more covered lives. The contract term is for 1 year, with the option to renew for 2 additional years. • The plan must be compliant with all applicable CMS requirements and guidelines. • The supplier must provide a plan design equal to or better than the current LSU First Retiree Medicare Plan. • The supplier must co-brand the product with LSU. • The supplier must assign a dedicated implementation team to manage the implementation process. • The supplier must work with LSU and the incumbent supplier to transfer competencies and operational expertise.
