BRONSON ANIMAL DISEASE DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY Architect & Engineering Services

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a qualified Architectural and Engineering firm to provide design services for a new multi-discipline government laboratory expansion facility located at the Bronson Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory in Kissimmee, Florida. The selected firm will provide construction documents, specifications, bid support, and construction administration services through final completion and Owner acceptance of the project. The project includes a new laboratory expansion wing of approximately 31,000 square feet and a new maintenance shop facility of approximately 5,000 square feet. • The laboratory expansion will house diverse program functions, including histopathology, immunohistochemistry, aquaculture, clinical pathology, parasitology, and toxicology, along with a new animal necropsy suite. • The maintenance shop facility will replace the existing obsolete structure and will include offices, a workshop, restrooms, kitchenette, small conference, and secure storage for tools, equipment, and building supplies. • The selected firm must have relevant successful experience with laboratory/office design and construction, as well as government facilities, and new commercial construction projects of similar size. • The firm must be properly licensed in the State of Florida and qualified to practice or offer architectural and engineering services in accordance with Chapters 481 and 471, Florida Statutes.
