JP Murtha Float Mooring Bitts Retrofit

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District seeks a qualified contractor to retrofit floating mooring bitts within the John P. Murtha Locks and Dam. The work involves in‑the‑wet construction, including installation of government‑furnished floating mooring bitts, fabrication and placement of dewatering cofferdam boxes, heavy demolition, concrete work, steel anchorage fabrication, and commercial diving support. The contract will be a firm‑fixed‑price construction award and must be completed within 730 calendar days after notice to proceed. • Provide floating plant operations (crane/deck barge and push boat) in an active navigation lock. • Fabricate, install, and seal structural steel dewatering boxes (max 90‑day duration). • Perform heavy demolition, concrete wire‑sawing, core drilling, and install embedded steel frames for mooring bitts. • Supply certified commercial dive teams for underwater inspection and rigging. • Complete all work to leave existing structures equal to or better than pre‑construction condition.
