Fire Chief Recruitment Service

The City of Spokane is seeking a qualified consultant to manage the full recruitment process for the position of Fire Chief. The vendor will develop qualification criteria, create recruitment materials, advertise the position nationwide, screen applicants, support the selection committee, coordinate interviews and public forums, and conduct background and reference checks on final candidates. The effort is expected to run from February through July 2024, with possible extensions up to five years. • Define qualifications and develop job posting, brochure, and related materials. • Conduct nationwide advertising, applicant sourcing, pre‑screening, and candidate vetting. • Provide logistical support for interviews, community forums, and assist the selection committee throughout the hiring process.
