Racetrack Safety Inspector- Rock Springs, Wyoming

The State of Wyoming is seeking a Racetrack Safety Inspector to conduct safety inspections of all horse racing tracks in Wyoming. The inspector will be responsible for ensuring the tracks are safe for both equine and human athletes. The inspector will conduct a thorough inspection of the tracks, including the track surface, safety rails, starting gates, paddock, veterinarian test barn, barns, track maintenance equipment, and security. The inspector will also be required to make a verbal report to the Wyoming Gaming Commission and the racetrack management team at the conclusion of each inspection, and submit a detailed written report after receiving back any laboratory submissions for the dirt samples taken during inspections. • The inspector will be required to have experience in the horseracing industry and in conducting safety inspections on racetracks. • The inspector will be required to conduct a thorough safety inspection of the Wyoming Horse Racing racetrack in Rock Springs, Wyoming, prior to the opening day of the race meet. • The inspector will be required to submit a detailed written report to the Wyoming Gaming Commission after receiving back any laboratory submissions for the dirt samples taken during inspections. • The inspector will be considered a representative of the State of Wyoming and should conduct him/herself in a professional and courteous manner.
