The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for municipal solid waste removal and disposal services at the Louisville VA Medical Center. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, and services to perform the work, including pickups twice a week and ensuring cleanliness around the dumpster after each pickup. The contract is anticipated to be a firm-fixed-price contract for a period of one base year and four option years. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing municipal solid waste removal services for a 42 cubic yard government-owned compactor container • Picking up municipal solid waste and disposing of it twice a week • Ensuring cleanliness around the dumpster after each pickup • Sub-contracting pressure washing under and around the container annually • Complying with all local, state, and federal regulations
