Rail Infrastructure Work Program

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking information from contractors, manufacturers, and vendors with demonstrated expertise to conduct full-depth reconstruction, interim repairs, and prepare for future modernization of its rail infrastructure. The goal is to keep the existing system operational while resetting the lifespan of rail assets for 30 years. The project will involve performing full-depth reconstruction of rail lines, interim corrective repairs, and system modifications. RTD plans to use the information gathered from this RFI to develop scopes of work and associated contract provisions to contract with one or more vendors. • Performing full-depth reconstruction of rail lines • Interim corrective repairs as needed • Performing system modifications The initial focus will be on the Light Rail System, with the goal of prioritizing implementation of full-depth rail reconstruction and systems work.
