NASA is seeking a complete Engineering Test Unit (ETU) for the CUVIS Main Electronics Box, including all electronic cards, backplane, chassis, and related intellectual property. The effort is being directed as a sole‑source procurement to NOVO SPACE, CO, with the intent to evaluate capability statements before deciding on competition. The hardware must meet extensive electrical, mechanical, thermal, and radiation requirements and be delivered for integration by early March 2027.
• Provide a full set of ETU hardware (cards, backplane, chassis) and associated IP.
• Deliver analyses: worst‑case circuit, parts stress, signal/power integrity, mechanical/structural, material list, thermal, and radiation compliance.
• Meet strict performance limits: ≤3 kg mass, ≤50 W LV power, MIL‑STD‑461 EMI/EMC, 30 krad TID, 75 MeV·cm²/mg LET, 12 TVAC cycles, and Falcon Heavy launch vibration/shock.
• Include 1.5 TB non‑volatile storage, LVDS/RS‑422 interfaces, AI processing capability, FPGA/JTAG programming, TEC and heater control, and full verification testing.
