Workers' Compensation Third Party Administrator

The County of Washington, Oregon is seeking a Third Party Administrator to provide workers' compensation claims administration services. The successful proposer will be responsible for managing workers' compensation claims, including investigating claims, determining compensability, and making timely payments of benefits due to injured workers. The proposer must have a telephonic 24-hour claim intake process and a robust claims management information system that is accessible by the County. The contract term will be two years, with the option to renew for up to five years. Some key responsibilities of the Third Party Administrator include: • Receiving notice of and creating files for each claim reported and maintaining these files for the prescribed statutory period • Investigating all claims to determine validity and compensability • Providing timely payments of benefits due to injured workers • Maintaining an information technology system available to County Risk Management 24 hours a day, 7 days a week • Responding to all inquiries regarding claims within one business day • Establishing and proactively maintaining accurate claims reserves for the most probable cost of all claims
