Stony Brook University, intends to purchase Electronic Databases utilizingconsortium contract(s); NorthEast Research Libraries (N.E.R.L.). This ispursuant to its authority under section 163 (3) (vi), which authorizes purchase ofcommodities, subscriptions from a consortium or comparable entity in lieu ofusing a centralized contract and without a formal competitive process whenjustified by price.
