Description
The State of Iowa, through its Department of Administrative Services, is seeking a qualified architectural/engineering firm to produce a comprehensive strategic space‑plan study for the Cherokee Mental Health Institute’s Clinical Care and Utilization Support Office (CCUSO). The effort will assess current space utilization, develop multiple expansion concepts, provide cost estimates at 50 %, 95 % and 100 % design stages, and deliver all documentation in native and PDF formats via the state’s construction‑management software. The contract is a lump‑sum award with a study budget of roughly $120 k and includes mandatory design‑review meetings and on‑site visits.
• Deliver a master‑plan and four alternative space‑utilization concepts (fastest, most economical, non‑disruptive, long‑term).
• Conduct on‑site building evaluations, verify historic drawings, and coordinate utility shutdowns.
• Provide cost‑opinion reports at 50 %, 95 % and 100 % design milestones, and upload all deliverables to Procore.
