Description
The City of Edinburg is seeking proposals from qualified organizations or individuals to lease and operate a 147-acre dragstrip at the South Texas International Airport. The selected proposer will be responsible for maintaining the premises, operating the dragstrip, and providing revenue to the Airport's fund. The proposer must be an active member in good standing with a recognized drag racing sanctioning body and have the necessary experience, qualifications, and financial resources to operate the dragstrip. Key aspects of the proposal include the plan for operation and maintenance, qualifications and experience, revenue sharing, financial plan, relocation plan, and insurance.
• The lease term is not specified, but the contract can be terminated by the City with a 30-day notice.
