The City of Las Cruces is seeking a qualified contractor to install ductless mini‑split heat‑pump HVAC systems and perform light weatherization upgrades in a 40‑unit senior‑housing complex (Chaparral Senior Housing) under the Plugged In For Good (PIFG) initiative. The work must comply with federal, state, and local energy‑efficiency program requirements (EECBG and CEED) and include permitting, de‑commissioning of existing gas furnaces, installation of LED lighting, smart thermostats, air‑sealing, and health‑safety measures such as smoke and CO detectors. The contract runs from award through July 3 2027, with an expected construction window of six to nine months after notice to proceed.
