Design and Engineering Services for Phase II RIDE Submission, Providence Schools

The City of Providence is seeking design and engineering services for the development of a comprehensive plan for school facilities in Providence, and the submission of a RIDE Phase II Necessity of School Construction application. The selected firm will work with the city, PPSD, and the OPM (Downes) to fulfill requirements for a RIDE Stage II application, and provide pre-referendum services as needed. The project aims to create state-of-the-art facilities that meet the needs of Providence students, with a focus on environmental sustainability and community engagement. Key services include conducting existing building and site conditions surveys, Phase I-Site Assessment surveys, and comprehensive land surveys. • The project requires a high degree of qualifications and experience in similar projects, with a thorough knowledge of applicable Rhode Island construction laws and regulations. • The selected firm will be expected to commit the necessary resources to complete the services outlined in the RFQ, and sustain that commitment for the entire duration of the project. • The city will evaluate each written submission, determine whether interviews are necessary, and select the vendor best qualified and most advantageous to the Providence Public School District. • The firm's qualifications, proposed personnel qualifications, knowledge of Providence and the needs facing the schools, anticipated services, and project approach will be the criteria by which the city will conduct its evaluation.
