The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking professional design services for the KSU Health Sciences Center, specifically for enhanced commissioning services. The project includes a new three-story Health Science Center with approximately 59,000 square feet of space, featuring administrative offices, educational and instructional spaces, healthcare training areas, and a public health clinic. The selected firm will be responsible for providing commissioning services, including Phase B document review, Phase C collaboration and document review, commissioning specifications for bidding documents, and functional testing of building envelope, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment. The project budget is $49,300,000 for construction. • The project requires a minimum of five years of demonstrated commissioning experience on projects of comparable size and complexity. • The commissioning authority team should include at least one member certified or accredited by AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) or Building Commissioning Association (BCA). • The project involves multiple phases, including design, construction, and commissioning. • The selected firm will be required to work with the Commonwealth team to develop Owner Project Requirements documentation. • The project includes a 10-month review after substantial completion to ensure the building systems are functioning as intended.
