Pasadena Unified School District is establishing a pool of qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide full‑service design support for capital‑improvement projects over the next five years. The solicitation seeks Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) that demonstrate experience with K‑12 facilities, BIM Level‑3 modeling, compliance with the Division of the State Architect (DSA), and the ability to meet the District’s schedule, budget, and sustainability goals. Firms will be evaluated on past project experience, staff expertise, design management approach, and commitment to equity and small‑business participation. Successful firms will be placed in a “pool” from which future project‑specific RFPs will be issued; inclusion does not guarantee individual project awards. • Scope includes safety upgrades, new school construction, classroom renovations, athletic facilities, and sustainability/energy‑efficiency initiatives. • Required services cover all design phases (pre‑design, schematic, design development, construction documents, bidding assistance, construction administration, and close‑out) with mandatory BIM Level‑3 deliverables and DSA certification at each milestone. • Firms must provide a fixed hourly fee schedule (no sliding scales), meet comprehensive insurance requirements, and demonstrate participation of DBE/SBE/SELBE/DVBE entities.
