National Certificate Automation Redesign (NCAR) Printer Replacement

The United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) is seeking information from vendors who can provide replacement printers for the National Certificate Automation Redesign (NCAR) program. The NCAR program requires a single forensically consistent printer to be used for all sites, and the printer must have identical physical characteristics in terms of the printing method. The printer must also use pigmented ink and have a high resistance to fading under long periods of exposure to sunlight. The USCIS is looking for vendors who can provide equipment that meets these technical requirements and is seeking information on the vendor's capabilities and experience delivering similar equipment. • The NCAR program requires a single forensically consistent printer to be used for all sites. • The printer must have identical physical characteristics in terms of the printing method. • The printer must use pigmented ink and have a high resistance to fading under long periods of exposure to sunlight. • The printer must be able to print on custom-produced paper with a ~28 Lb bond and a green tinged security background. • The printer must have a minimum 500 sheet paper tray capacity and a minimum 28 ppm color print speed. • The printer must have a duty cycle of sustained use of minimum 3,000 pages per month with surges up to a minimum of 10,000 pages per month.
