Mills/Jarrett Building - Elevator Modernization

This project calls for a full modernization of three existing hydraulic elevators in the historic Mills/Jarrett Building. The work includes replacement of elevator equipment, modern controls, renovation of machine rooms, hoistways, pits, and cab interiors, as well as associated architectural, mechanical, and electrical upgrades. The scope is comprehensive, requiring coordination among multiple trades and compliance with current building and safety codes. • Replace hydraulic elevator cars, machinery, and control systems for three elevators. • Upgrade associated mechanical, electrical, and architectural elements (machine rooms, hoistways, pits, cab finishes). • Deliver a design‑bid‑build project under the South Carolina Department of Administration’s standards, requiring a licensed prime contractor with elevator or BD/NR responsibility.
