Description
The State of Iowa’s Department of Administrative Services is seeking a qualified architectural/engineering firm to provide full‑service design for repairing stone utility tunnel walls beneath the Sallyport entrance and in front of Living Unit B at the Anamosa State Penitentiary. The scope includes structural investigation, preparation of design development and construction documents, cost estimating, and construction‑phase administration through project close‑out. Submissions are digital only, with a 120‑day price‑firm guarantee, and the firm must hold appropriate professional licenses and insurance.
• Provide investigation, design development, and detailed construction documents for stone‑wall and tunnel‑lid repairs.
• Coordinate with state historic preservation, building code officials, and the construction manager (McGough Construction).
• Deliver construction‑phase support including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, site observations, and final close‑out documentation.
• Submit one digital proposal by 2 PM CDT, June 22 2026; answer any questions by June 15 2026; attend optional pre‑proposal meeting June 9 2026.
