Description
This RFP seeks qualified mechanical contractors to replace the Town of Bridgton’s existing oil‑fired boiler and domestic hot‑water system in the municipal office building. The scope includes complete removal, disposal, supply and installation of a new high‑efficiency oil‑fired boiler, and optionally an 80‑gallon hybrid heat‑pump water heater, with all required piping, controls, commissioning, and one‑year workmanship warranty. The town may award either option separately or together, and electrical work for the hybrid heater is excluded.
• Remove existing boiler, water heater, and glycol; install new high‑efficiency oil‑fired boiler.
• Optional installation of ENERGY STAR‑rated 80‑gal hybrid heat‑pump water heater (electrical work excluded).
• Provide start‑up, testing, commissioning, O&M manuals, training, and warranties.
• Contractors must have Maine licensing, 5 + years experience, and meet specified insurance minimums.
