Furnish, Delivery and Installation of Replacement of Site -48 VDC Battery Plants

The County of Maui is seeking bids for the replacement of site -48 VDC battery plants for the Maui Police Department Radio Shop. The project involves furnishing, delivering, and installing new, unused Absolyte Series batteries and hardware within the existing 19” 2-post racks and cabinets at four different sites. The successful bidder must possess a current State of Hawaii C-15B Telecommunications Contractor license and be compliant with the Hawaii Compliance Express. The project must be completed within 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Key aspects of the project include: • Removing and replacing all batteries in one string at a time, keeping the other string online until completed • Installing new straps and hardware with corrosion-resistant grease for all connections between the batteries • Recovering and properly disposing of the removed batteries • Delivering a copy of the measurements of battery voltages and resistances for each string to the MPD Radio Shop Communications Coordinator for review prior to acceptance and closing of the project
