Small Pump & Motor Repair/Maintenance

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is seeking a qualified local service provider to perform in-shop repairs of small motors and pumps in support of campus facilities and utility operations. The selected contractor will be required to provide repair services at their local repair facility, with all equipment being delivered to and retrieved from the facility by MTSU personnel. The scope of work includes diagnostic inspection, disassembly, cleaning, bearing and seal replacement, shaft inspection, and reassembly, among other services. The contractor must maintain a physically staffed repair facility within reasonable driving distance of the MTSU Murfreesboro campus and demonstrate the ability to respond to variable workload demands. Key aspects of the job include: • Repairing electric motors, HVAC, utility, and specialty pumps • Providing diagnostic inspection and failure evaluation • Performing disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of equipment • Replacing bearings, seals, and minor components • Conducting shaft inspection and minor repair • Providing written repair versus replacement recommendations • Maintaining a physically staffed repair facility within reasonable driving distance of the MTSU Murfreesboro campus • Demonstrating the ability to respond to variable workload demands
