The Mississippi State University is seeking a qualified contractor to completely replace the existing Trane HVAC system (condensers, evaporator coils, and thermostatic expansion valves) at the Department of Sustainable Bioproducts, Building 11 Franklin in Starkville, MS. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to remove the old equipment, install the new units, conduct full system start‑up, testing, and commissioning, and clean up the site, all in compliance with EPA refrigerant recovery rules and applicable codes. The work is expected to be performed primarily within a preferred window of late‑December 2026 to early‑January 2027, with final completion required by mid‑April 2027.
• Remove existing 25‑ton and 60‑ton Trane condensers, evaporator coils, and TXVs, recover refrigerant, and dispose of old equipment.
• Install new condensers, coils, and TXVs (compatible with R410A or R454B), modify refrigerant and electrical piping, and ensure proper supports, insulation, and clearances.
• Perform full system start‑up, pressure testing, leak checking, refrigerant charging, and commissioning to verify performance and safety.
• Provide a 1‑year parts‑and‑labor warranty plus a 2‑5‑year compressor parts warranty, and submit all documentation required by MSU’s standard contract addendum.
