Financial Audit and Tax Services for Affiliated Entities

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking proposals for financial audit and tax services for its affiliated entities. The selected vendor will be responsible for conducting an independent audit engagement on the annual financial statements of the affiliated entities and preparing the annual IRS Tax Form 990 (and 990-T, as needed) for these entities. The contract will have an initial term of one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year terms. The vendor must have at least five years of experience in providing similar services to institutions of higher education and must provide three references from comparable projects of similar scope. Key aspects of the job include: • Conducting an independent audit engagement on the annual financial statements of the affiliated entities • Preparing the annual IRS Tax Form 990 (and 990-T, as needed) for the affiliated entities • Providing electronic versions of the audit reports • Meeting required deadlines for draft and final financial statements and tax forms • Coordinating with the Office of State Auditor and the Office of State Controller as necessary
