G005--554 | Gym Membership (Geriatric level fitness requirements)

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking potential sources for gym memberships with geriatric level fitness requirements for the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. The gym must be located within one mile of the medical center and provide access to various facilities and equipment, including cardio equipment, free weights, and a swimming pool. The contractor will be required to provide monthly fees per participant for up to 81 participants, with access to the gym and facilities during specified days and hours. The contractor must also allow VA-trained personnel to lead group exercises and conduct routine exercise assessments. Some key requirements include: • Providing access to the gym, gym facilities, and gym equipment for up to 81 older veterans during specified days and hours • Providing access to exercise equipment, including cardio equipment, free weights, and weight machines • Providing access to exercise space/studio areas for group exercise led by trained VA staff • Providing access to a 1/12th of a mile indoor walking/running track with handrails • Providing access to an indoor heated swimming pool for water aerics classes and whirlpool • Allowing VA-trained personnel to lead groups in exercising and training during listed days and hours
