Long Term & Short Term Disability Insurance, & Term Life

Palm Beach County is seeking proposals for a fully insured group Short Term Disability Insurance Plan and a fully insured group Long Term Disability Insurance Plan, as well as an employer-paid Basic Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) plan. The selected proposer will provide services for a 12-month period, with possible renewal options. The County prefers multi-year rate guarantees, with a minimum of three years. The proposer must have demonstrated experience in supplying such services and meet all criteria/requirements identified in the RFP. • The Long Term Disability Insurance Plan will contain both employer-paid core and buy-up voluntary LTD benefits. • The Short Term Disability Plan will be 100% voluntary (employee pay-all). • The Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance plan will provide basic term life coverage in the amount of $25,000 and $15,000 AD&D coverage to all eligible full-time employees. • The County has approximately 4,750 employees eligible to participate in this coverage.
