Description
The Town of Saugus is seeking qualified contractors to repair water infiltration through the exterior masonry wall of its Public Safety Building (including the Fire Department). The work includes inspecting the façade, repointing or replacing deteriorated mortar joints, fixing damaged masonry units, repairing flashing, sealants, and penetrations, and providing all labor, materials, equipment, protective measures, cleanup, and disposal. The contract will be awarded on a lump‑sum basis and must comply with Massachusetts prevailing‑wage requirements.
• Inspect and diagnose sources of water entry in the exterior masonry envelope.
• Repoint, replace, and seal masonry units, joints, flashing, and penetrations to restore watertight integrity.
• Provide full project services (materials, labor, equipment, protection, disposal) while keeping police and fire operations fully functional.
